OIL IMMERSED DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS

    • Distribution Transformers between power values 25kva to 5000kva are manufactured in accordance with the customer’s project. They are produced on request, according to the customer’s specifications as one or three phased, oil immersed (with mineral, silicon or non flammable oil), with natural cooling (ONAN), with forced cooling (ONAF), with open air expansion tanks, with completely sealed hermetic, gas cushioned hermetic, with onload tap changers or off-circuit tap changers, with cable box or hood and with porcelain isolators or epoxy resin isolators. Our products are produced in accordance to the requirements of IEC 60076 standards. After production, each transformer is tested routinely according to IEC 60076 standards, before being shipped for delivery.

TRANSFORMER WITH CONSERVATOR OIL TANK

    25-5000kVA in power interval, high voltage level up to 36kv, single phase or three phases, oil immersed, natural cooling (ONAN), no-load tap changer or with load automatic tap changer, both outdoor and indoor, are designed at form. The dimensions of the oil conservator tank of the transformers are determined taking into consideration thermal expansion of the transformer oil, during a rise in temperature.

    Transformers with oil conservator tanks are open to atmosphere. Pressure of the oil changes in consequence of thermal effects. The silica gel (air dryer) inside the conservator tank absorbs instantly any humidity of the air and it provides ingress-egres of the air. The Silica gel of transformer inside the oil conservator tank loses its features in the course of the time and starts degrading, this makes the transformer oil to be exposed to humidity and thus wear down. To avoid this, the silica gel needs to be replaced at specific intervals and the by-pass voltage of a sample oil, taken from the main oil, must be measured.

HERMETIC TRANSFORMERS

    There is no conservator tank on hermetically sealed transformers. The oil is filled into the tank after the air in the oil has been sucked from it in specially designed and constructed vacuum rooms. Since the humidity consequently does not exist inside of the tank, any deterioration of the oil is fully eliminated in the service life of the transformer.
